He is the Co-Director of a prestigious research center funded by many US and international oil and natural gas companies. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working in operating companies, consultancies and universities. His research interests include horizontal well technology, modeling and solution of transient flow problems in porous media, development of computational algorithms and well test analysis. His research projects include investigating frictional pressure drop in horizontal wellbores, and optimization of horizontal well completion.
An eminent name in the SPE community, he won the SPE Formation Evaluation Award for 2007 and was the Outstanding Technical Editor for the SPE Editorial Review Committee in 1998 & 2006.
