The course facilitator is a lawyer and the founder and managing member of a Houston based business law firm. He also currently serves as a Director of a publicly traded international energy company and a Director (and Past Board President) of an open enrollment charter school located in the Gulfton area of Southwest Houston.
The course facilitator has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry and is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialisation. He has obtained an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, an international recognised lawyer rating service, the highest rating available.
A Texas native, the course facilitator is a graduate of Texas State University – San Marcos (B.A., 1976) and Harvard law School (J.D., 1979). He is also a graduate and member of Leadership Houston (Class XVIII) and a graduate of United Way’s Project Blueprint (Class II).
In addition to being a lawyer, the course facilitator is also an educator. He teaches as an Adjunct Professor at a highly esteemed college where he teaches Introduction to Law, Administrative Law and Oil and Gas Law courses in the College’s Paralegal Studies Program. He has previously taught Oil and Gas Law as an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law.
