Workshop - Asia Pacific Print E-mail
orginal

Brief introduction of the event

The oil and gas and shipping industries have always employed heavy lift and rigging and erection of steel structures and jacking/skidding operations in the manufacture of new units and ships. The usual suspects at loggerheads with each other include the yard/factory/workshop representing the services company/vendor, the construction team of engineers, the commissioning team of engineers, the operation team and the coming crew of the unit or ship.

Each team has their targets to meet in terms of delivery time, without any complaints or outstanding work leading to less downtime and out of charter due to technical problems. Inspection professionals, architects and owners continue to amend punch lists under tight deadlines and pressure from all sides to get the project over the finish line.

This 3-day highly interactive and practical course will help construction teams that have been involved in the design of the units and contract agreements to the yard or vendor, meet their targets to deliver the units or ships in planned time and without problems. It will also help the commissioning team of engineers representing the owners check the construction, outstanding work and the operational performance of the unit.
