Workshop Overview

The importance of effective Oil & Gas Data Management is widely underestimated, yet in many cases it can be the critical factor determining success or failure of a company initiative. With increasing data growth and the resources to manage it are not, this presents a considerable challenge for companies to develop good data management to remain competitive in the marketplace.

The 3-day workshop is specially designed for data management to understand the issues and challenges faced by data managers in the petroleum sector and recognize the importance of data management in the current world. With time-proven methodologies and techniques, the course facilitator will help the delegates develop and implement key record management tools. Accuracy of data is extremely vital too, and delegates will be introduced the use of data quality control, quality assurance and audit procedures. Following that, the expert will highlight the different types of risks facing the oil and gas sector and provides guidance on disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Workshop Facilitator Profile 

Our course facilitator is Consultancy Services Director of Tribal Education and Technology Limited. He is an international information management specialist with over 20 years oil sector experience. He is also a chartered geologist and chartered scientist, director and previous past chair of the UK Records Management Society,and chairman of the Data Management Group of the Petroleum Exploration Society and the Geoscience Information Group of the Geological Society of London.

currently responsible for Tribal’s service provision in other international organizations.
He has undertaken a wide range of information and records management projects in the E&P sector both in the UK and internationally (in India, Bangladesh, South Africa, Norway, Denmark, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Algeria and France) and is currently retained by a number of government agencies as their Information Management Advisor.
