The speaker is the Director of Engineering for Merlin ERD Limited. Most of his 20 years in the oil and gas industry had been spent with operators. He is a chartered Mechanical Engineer with a B ENG (honours) from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and specializes in high angle, complex and Extended Reach Wells (ERW).
He had worked around the world on a variety of projects from world record ultra long and deepwater ERD wells, to low cost land and jack-up projects. He built his reputation upon completing several notable projects in Australia with BHP, Woodside and Apache Energy, and had been invited several times to give presentations at key SPE events.
