Facilitator’s Profile
The facilitator is currently the Lead ESP Specialist and Production Technologist in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). PDO is a world leader in implementing ESP practices efficiently and optimally, and over 40% of their net oil is produced by means of ESPs. The facilitator possess over 20 years of experience as a production technologist and has worked on ESPs for at least 15 years. She is the current International Advisor for ESP Workshop of Gulf Of Mexico, Houston SPE.
The facilitator has extensive experience in Gas-Lifts and ESP wells for carbonate and sand stone reservoirs on lift selection, design, installation, operation & optimisation. She has vast and versatile experience dealing with ESPs, and is heavily involved in major teardown analysis with ESP vendors where she supervised the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and played a significant role in doing equipment engineering to result in significant improvements on ESPs’ run-life.
In 1993, she was one of the pioneers in the world who could successfully install the first ESPs in High Gas Oil Ratio (HGOR) wells at the reservoir pressure below the bubble point pressure. This was at a time when the concept of using gas separator and venting gas via casing annulus to the flow-line was not a common practice world wide.
The facilitator is a qualified veteran in managing ESP, especially in improving ESP’s run-life to minimize the oil deferment while reducing the well life cycle cost. She is experienced in giving ESP on-the-job training in PDO to elevate the competence of all staff working with ESPs toward improving performance in ESP operations.
As a testimony to her international expertise, she has authored and presented or will be presenting Papers at the following events:
