He is the Principal SOA Architect of XWebServices, Inc., a boutique SOA Consulting firm based in Los Angeles. He has over 12 years of Enterprise Architecture (EA) experience primarily in the Financial Services, Health Care and E-Commerce fields. Having developed SOA principles and best practices that guide planning, development, integration and management of application infrastructures, he has successfully implemented Service Oriented Architectures for companies such as:
- First Data Corporation – formerly a Fortune 500 company now privately owned, a leading provider of electronic commerce and payment solutions for businesses worldwide
- Alliance Payment Technologies – an ACH Gateway provider, with numerous banks and financial institutions in the United States as its clients
- SCAN Health Plan – a “Medicare Advantage” HMO based in Southern California, one of the original four Social HMOs in the United States
- First American Corporation – a Fortune 200 company, America’s largest provider of business information and real estate related services
He has also held technical leadership positions at AFX, a medical billing solutions provider; Artful Style, an online art gallery; Realtor.com, the largest provider of real estate listings in the United States; IXL Inc. and Genesis 2000. He has also honorably served in the United States Marine Corps.
He strongly believes that all SOA Architects should have a strong understanding of the enterprise from the business perspective. His expertise is in Financial Services areas such as EFT, Transaction Processing, Accounting, Risk Management, Loss Prevention, Health Care, E-Commerce, Real Estate, Mortgage Banking and CRM. Areas of technical expertise include Enterprise SOA, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Composite Applications, SOA Governance, Web Services / SOAP, XML, Microsoft SQL Server (VLDBs), Microsoft BizTalk Server, .NET and AJAX.
