Workshop Facilitator Profile

Our facilitator has a law degree with honors from King’s College London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in United Kingdom (ICAEW). He has been exclusively devoted to international tax and transfer pricing since 1987. He is a Global Partner of the Transfer Pricing Associates (TPA) group, based in the Asia Pacific region and has been with the group since 2005. Before this, he has an extensive background with one of the Big Four firms in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. In short, he has over 20 years of international tax and transfer pricing experience in a variety of countries across the globe, especially Asia and Europe.

He has become a prominent trainer and is a frequent keynote speaker at various transfer pricing workshops as well as conferences around the world, particularly China, UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and so forth. He has also written a great number of articles for a wide range of publications such as the CCH’s China Tax Intelligence, the International Tax Review, and the Eurobiz Magazine.

He has sound professional working relationships with tax authorities throughout the world, especially in Asia Pacific region such as those in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China and Korea. He is experienced in the negotiation of unilateral and bilateral Advance Pricing Arrangements (APA), including the first and second bilateral APAs between Australia and Korea as well as other bilateral APAs between Australia and Japan. He is well-known for his effective management of complex transfer pricing audits in a great variety of industries, and efficient resolution of transfer pricing audits leading to highly successful outcomes for taxpayers.
